Sock Pairs
What is Sock Pairs?
In Sock Pairs a sock hangs on the clothesline, and below it lies a big, messy pile. The task is simple: tap the sock's pair, as fast as you can. The pair is identical, just made for the other foot, a mirror image of the one on the line. There are five rounds, the pile keeps growing and the socks look more and more alike. Every wrong tap costs a five-second penalty.
In the first round you only have to find a yellow sock among black ones, but by the end you are left with nothing but black, almost identical socks, where the number of fringes or the color of the heel decides. Watch the color, the pattern, the number of stripes, the cuff and the heel. The daily pile is easier on Monday and harder on the weekend.
FAQ
How can two socks differ?
In length (ankle, regular, knee-high), color, pattern (number of stripes, dots, diamonds, zigzag), cuff (plain, ribbed or fringed, with 3, 4 or 5 fringes), and whether the heel and toe are a contrasting color.
Does it matter if it is a left or a right sock?
No: the pair is always the mirror image of the sock on the line, and that is not a difference. Only the features above count.
What does the hint do?
The first time it tells you what to look at (for example the number of fringes), the second time another feature, and the third time it fades out three quarters of the pile. In the daily puzzle a hint costs 30 seconds (or 10 coins).
